Все правильно.

Тоже правильно. Курт заботится о том, чтобы можно было не уменьшить
степень полезности LDAP для уже использющего его ПО. Представь себе
программу, которая используется совместимую с OPL лицензию, которая не
совместима с GPL. 

Пример: оригинальная BSD совместима с OpenLDAP (ее требования сильнее, 
чем OpenLDAP), но не совместима с GPL. Соответственно, в приложении 
под оригинальной BSD нельзя будет линковать OpenLDAP, хотя ранее это было
возможно.
